Bob Day
The therapist for the person everyone counts on and no one checks on: overfunctioners whose life works on paper and costs more than anyone sees.
Who Bob Works With
Bob works with the person everyone else leans on. The one who keeps the family calendar and the family peace, who stays busy because stopping is where the feelings are, who has been strong for so long that nobody thinks to ask how they’re doing, least of all them.
Caretaking, staying busy, being the strong one: these started as solutions, and Bob treats them that way, with respect for what they once protected and honesty about what they now cost. He works with substance use, with emerging and young adults finding their footing, and with relationship and family conflict where the same fight has worn a groove.
How a Session With Bob Works
Bob ditches the script early.
A session with him is a conversation between two people, one of whom happens to be trained for it. He’d rather understand who you are than inventory what’s wrong with you; the well-timed joke is part of the toolkit, and the connection comes before the agenda because in his experience nothing useful happens without it. New to therapy and nervous about it? He builds the space around exactly that, and you set the pace for what gets shared and when.

Qualifications
Bob is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC010461, Georgia). His MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is from Richmont Graduate University and his BS in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
His thinking is grounded in Bowen family systems, in which he is beginning formal training, with a person-centered philosophy underneath all of it. He sees adults.
Before This Work
Bob’s route to the counseling room started on a back porch: the long conversations where people actually said what was going on, and the discovery that he was the one others found easy to say it to.
He mentored younger students in college, spent his barista years learning more about people across a counter than most classes teach, and eventually made the obvious official.
Outside the Office
Bob runs on espresso and vinyl records, roots hard for his college football team, and shares his life with Dolly, an aussiedoodle of strong opinions. Beyond that, his plans are simple: whatever adventure his wife wants to get them into.

Frequently Asked Questions
Bob works with adults, and his person is the one holding everyone else together: the overfunctioner who looks fine, keeps everything running, and is quietly running out. Substance use, emerging adults, and family conflict are his ground, approached connection-first rather than problem-first.
Yes. Wednesday Process Group with Mark Anderson, 6:30 PM, 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. Thursday Process Group with Grey Donnell, 6:30 PM, 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.
He does not believe most symptoms are a problem to resolve; behavior is adaptive, and patterns made sense once. Sessions are conversational, warm, and unhurried, built on the belief that people earn the right to hear our stories, so nobody is rushed into theirs.
Bob’s rate is $150/hour. A limited number of reduced-fee sessions are available. Ask at your consult. Your individual fee includes a group at the same frequency, and the full price list lives on the pricing page.
