CLINICIAN TO CLINICIAN

For Therapists: A Group for Your Client, and You Keep the Client

If you are a therapist with a client who would benefit from a group, The Community exists to be the group room that does not cost you the relationship. You tell your client about us, your client contacts us and joins a group here, and you remain their individual therapist. With your client’s consent, if desired, the two rooms can collaborate instead of working in parallel silence.

Group-only rate $25 per session. Your client's individual therapy stays with you.

THE ARRANGEMENT, IN FOUR LINES
THREE STEPS, ONE CALL
01

You tell your client about us, your client contacts us and joins a group here, and you remain their individual therapist.

02

The group-only rate is $25 per session, for clients receiving no individual services here.

03

With your client’s consent, if desired, the two rooms can collaborate instead of working in parallel silence.

04

Every group here begins with a screening conversation with the facilitator: fit, readiness, and safety, the same three checks every member gets.

01
SAFE FOR YOUR THERAPY RELATIONSHIP

Why This Arrangement Exists

The structure here is deliberately safe for your therapy relationship. The group-only rate is $25 per session, for clients receiving no individual services here. The Community’s own clients have a group at their individual frequency inside their individual fee; your client gets the same rooms on group-only terms while their individual therapy stays exactly where it is: with you.

02
THE CLIENT CONTROLS THE SCOPE

How Coordination Works

With a signed consent, you and the group’s facilitator may collaborate in both directions: group themes inform your sessions, your treatment direction informs the group’s holding of your client. The client sets the scope of the consent. Collaboration with you happens only with your client’s consent, if desired.

03
FIT, READINESS, SAFETY

Screening Protects Your Client

Every group here begins with a screening conversation with the facilitator: fit, readiness, and safety, the same three checks every member gets. If a group is the wrong room for your client right now, the facilitator says so directly and warmly rather than seating a poor fit, and the client hears the reasoning. Some situations are better served outside a group, and we treat naming that as part of the service.

SCOPE, STATED PLAINLY

What The Community Is, and Is Not

This is an outpatient therapy practice with a group-centered model, not a substance use disorder treatment program, or any other kind of treatment program. Recovery groups here support recovery and do not replace treatment, and the same is true of every group.

THREE STEPS, ONE CALL

How Your Client Gets Started

01

Your client contacts us directly

Tell your client about The Community and give them our website to look at for themselves. Your client then contacts us directly: they call the main line, 404-590-2993, or write to welcome@communityatlanta.com. We don’t take a client’s details from their therapist; the first contact always comes from the client.

02

Same-day response on weekdays (by phone or email)

A clinician gets back to them with a same-day response on weekdays (by phone or email).

03

The screening conversation gets scheduled

The screening conversation gets scheduled with the relevant facilitator. If you have questions of your own, call or email us anytime. Collaboration with you happens only with your client’s consent, if desired.

07
ASKED AND ANSWERED

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The group-only rate exists exactly for this arrangement: your client attends a group here at $25 per session and receives no individual services at The Community. Their individual therapy remains with you, and the group participation changes nothing about that clinical relationship. It only enhances your client’s self-awareness.

Only with your client’s consent, if desired. With a signed consent, you and the group’s facilitator may collaborate in both directions: group themes inform your sessions, your treatment direction informs the group’s holding of your client. The client sets the scope of the consent.

The warm exclusions are the same for every member: active psychosis, active thought disorders, or an inability to practice emotional containment mean a group is the wrong room, and we say so directly with a referral out. The Community is also not a substance use disorder treatment program; recovery groups support recovery, they do not replace treatment.

The group-only rate is $25 per session, including Anger Management. Building Better Relationships, our trauma and recovery intensive, is $50 per session for 12 sessions. The screening conversation covers those details before anyone commits to anything.

When your client calls or emails on a weekday, they get a same-day response (by phone or email); the screening conversation with the group’s facilitator gets scheduled from there. Fit, readiness, and safety are checked before any first session, and if the answer is not this group or not right now, your client will hear the reasoning.
